The Tribune (NZ) - - WELCOME -

It’s hard not to be impressed by the ongoing committment local Lions Clubs have to their wider community.

Our cover story is about efforts by the combined Lions Clubs NZ Mobiltiy Foundation to raise money to provide life-changing equipment for children who have cerebral palsy and other similar conditions.

The 10-10-10 all-ages gold coin family oriented open walk this Saturday from the Fitzherbert Bridge at 10am is a simple activity that could bring about huge results.

A Lions fundraiser that has achieved much in the last 22 years, is the annual Coast to Coast motorcycle ride. In that time Woodville lions have raised in excess of $160,000 for Palmerston North’s Rescue Helicopter service.

This year all profits from the December 12 ride will help the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter Trust purchase a new Zoll defibrillator.

A little effort over a long time produces great results.
