SAUSAGE DAY DAWNS

The Tribune (NZ) - - NEWS -

Bangers, snags, snarlers, sizzlers, dirigibles, chipolatas, franks – whatever they get called, sausages are ubiquitous.

And this week, they have their very own ‘day’ for the first time.

Thursday 22 has been proclaimed National Sausage Day. When the wind drops, there will be barbecues, and Kiwis are being encouraged to embrace the coming summer with sizzling saucies.

The day coincides with the announcement of the Devro New Zealand Sausage Competition winners.
