Fun mu­si­cal fundraiser for MSS


An evening of mu­si­cal fam­ily fun to cap off the long week­end and help out a lo­cal char­ity, should prove pop­u­lar next Mon­day night.

The Manawatu Youth Orches­tra’s con­cert in aid of Methodist So­cial Ser­vices will of­fer vol­un­teer au­di­ence mem­bers the chance to ‘bang a gong’ as well as con­duct dur­ing a night of pop­u­lar clas­sics and or­ches­tral ar­range­ments of pop­u­lar songs.

Con­duc­tor Isaac Hen­der­son says the an­nual char­ity bash, which has played in the past for Just Zilch and St Vin­cent de Paul, will fea­ture crowd-pleasers by Rossini, Strauss, Han­del and Of­fen­bach, as well as by Cold­play and Bruno Mars.
