Fun musical fundraiser for MSS
An evening of musical family fun to cap off the long weekend and help out a local charity, should prove popular next Monday night.
The Manawatu Youth Orchestra’s concert in aid of Methodist Social Services will offer volunteer audience members the chance to ‘bang a gong’ as well as conduct during a night of popular classics and orchestral arrangements of popular songs.
Conductor Isaac Henderson says the annual charity bash, which has played in the past for Just Zilch and St Vincent de Paul, will feature crowd-pleasers by Rossini, Strauss, Handel and Offenbach, as well as by Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
