Spooktacular shenanigans

The Tribune (NZ) - - ENJOY! -

Te Manawa is once again switching off the lights and inviting you in, for the next in the After Dark event series, returning by tremendous popular demand.

This time the emphasis is on stories (the scary kind) rather than science. They’re ditching the end-of-October English and American traditions and putting a uniquely Aotearoa face on the season’s spooktacular shenanigans – and a Friday the 13th is too good an opportunity to pass up.

At the centre of the scary side of New Zealand lie the taniwha. Put on your best taniwha costume – and that goes for adults as well.

The team of visitor (g)hosts has a multitude of gruesome activities for you to try.

Frightlight – Te Manawa After Dark, Friday November 13, 6.30pm – 9pm. Cost: $5 per person. Recommended ages 6+.

Events and activities subject to change.
