Impeccable renovation makes a winner

The Tribune (NZ) - - GARDENING -

It’s Alteration Specialists Manawatu Ltd’s impeccable attention to detail and high level of workmanship that has won them the Registered Master Builders Mitre 10 Renovations $250,000-$500,000 National Award. The renovation was only 40m2 but it has transformed a 1930s house with a galley kitchen into a wonderful family home with a contemporary edge. The renovation included a stunning new kitchen and laundry and a covered outdoor area set beside an in ground swimming pool.

The judges commented, the integration of the renovation work into the existing structure of the house was carried out to the highest level. ‘‘Attention to the smallest detail saw the builder achieve fantastic retention of character,’’ said an impressed judge.

Perfectly aligning the matai floors internally with the kwila decking timber on the external decking is just one example of how the minutest detail can have such a big impact on the overall flow and finish.

The focus of a renovation by Alteration Specialists was on entertaining and outdoor living and won the Registered Master Builders Mitre 10 Renovations $250,000-$500,000 national award.
