‘‘Firstly I have to thank my wife Kyla Green. She helps keep it all to­gether with the es­sen­tial back­ground work of ad­min­is­tra­tion, in­voic­ing and pay­ing wages.’’ Kyla has trans­ferred her man­age­ment skills as a qual­i­fied hair­dresser to be­com­ing of­fice man­ager of a very busy build­ing com­pany. ‘‘And she still man­ages the house­hold and four kids, she’s awesome."

The Al­ter­ation Spe­cial­ists fore­man, Rob Nolan, dis­cov­ered a pas­sion for ren­o­vat­ing and gets daily plea­sure from help­ing cre­ate that seam­less fin­ish the home owner ap­pre­ci­ates.

Ja­son Bos has been part of the team for some years now. Ja­son has a really good work ethic and is a top qual­ity car­pen­ter with a lot of valu­able ex­pe­ri­ence."

Jono Roff com­pleted the fi­nal stages of his ap­pren­tice­ship with Al­ter­ation Spe­cial­ists and has gained valu­able ed­u­ca­tion right across the build­ing spec­trum. ‘‘He’s well-rounded and has a lot of learn­ing be­hind him making him a valu­able team mem­ber."

James Mont­ford is an­other one of the team’s qual­i­fied car­pen­ters, James has broad range of skills that makes him a great as­set to the team. Justin ac­knowl­edges the es­sen­tial men­tor­ing Steve Brown gave him and the Al­ter­ation Spe­cial­ists team in their early days and tries hard to pass it on. Al­ter­ation Spe­cial­ists’ new­est team mem­ber, Mal­colm Kibby, is young and keen. Justin says he has a good at­ti­tude and will learn quickly from the other team mem­bers.

‘‘Win­ning a Na­tional Award is an amaz­ing feat,’’ says Justin. ‘‘The qual­ity of the five other en­trants in our cat­e­gory at the Na­tion­als was very high, but win­ning the cat­e­gory means recog­ni­tion for our high qual­ity fin­ish­ing and at­ten­tion to fine de­tail."

The kitchen was up­dated and a ded­i­cated din­ing area cre­ated.
