Head to the li­brary th­ese hol­i­days for a host of op­tions

As well as all of the in­ter­est­ing pro­grammes and events hap­pen­ing in the Palmer­ston North li­brary over the sum­mer hol­i­days, there are still a whole host of ser­vices avail­able at both the cen­tral and com­mu­nity li­braries to make sure you have a re­lax­ing and en­ter­tain­ing sum­mer break.

Of course there is the huge se­lec­tion of books, mag­a­zines, DVDs and CDs avail­able to bor­row. New books ar­rive on the shelves ev­ery week and there is lit­er­ally some­thing for ev­ery­one. Speak­ing of books, if you have ever wanted to try an e-reader be­fore you buy, you can bor­row one (for free!) and even have one of the highly-skilled dig­i­tal team show you how to use it. Th­ese de­vices are es­pe­cially good if you are leav­ing town and don’t want to be car­ry­ing a pile of books.

Then there is also an ar­ray of dig­i­tal ser­vices; from the free com­put­ers and wifi to dig­i­tal help ses­sions where you can book in and have a dig­i­tal staff mem­ber help you get to grips with the new de­vice you got for Christ­mas, or help you de­cide what de­vice it is would best suit your fam­ily.
