Head to the library these holidays for a host of options
As well as all of the interesting programmes and events happening in the Palmerston North library over the summer holidays, there are still a whole host of services available at both the central and community libraries to make sure you have a relaxing and entertaining summer break.
Of course there is the huge selection of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs available to borrow. New books arrive on the shelves every week and there is literally something for everyone. Speaking of books, if you have ever wanted to try an e-reader before you buy, you can borrow one (for free!) and even have one of the highly-skilled digital team show you how to use it. These devices are especially good if you are leaving town and don’t want to be carrying a pile of books.
Then there is also an array of digital services; from the free computers and wifi to digital help sessions where you can book in and have a digital staff member help you get to grips with the new device you got for Christmas, or help you decide what device it is would best suit your family.
