Awards cel­e­brate 2015 theatre high­lights

From Shake­speare to B&D, new plays to old favourites, a var­ied and ex­cit­ing ar­ray of theatre pro­duc­tions are back in the spot­light on Fri­day night.

The an­nual Globe Theatre Awards are cel­e­brat­ing the top non-pro­fes­sional shows, per­for­mances and pro­duc­tion work of 2015 in a gala oc­ca­sion at the theatre.

Dur­ing the past year, a jury of pan­elists saw 25 shows from 19 re­gional theatre com­pa­nies be­tween Dan­nevirke and Levin, and have come up with a list of

Panel con­venor Sheri­dan Hickey says it’s been a treat to see the en­thu­si­asm and en­joy­ment of par­tic­i­pants in last year’s pro­duc­tions, which in­volved more than 200 per­form­ers on stage and at least an equiv­a­lent num­ber work­ing be­hind the scenes.
