Kiwi folk duo play

Glo­be­trot­ting Kiwi folk duo The Bollands have re­turned to New Zealand to em­bark on an in­au­gu­ral na­tion­wide tour.

Hus­band and wife act Chris­tian and Joyce Bol­land have been trav­el­ling the world play­ing venues and fes­ti­vals since 2012, have but have yet to do a tour of New Zealand.

‘‘We have been so busy over the past few years that the op­por­tu­nity to play back home just didn’t hap­pen,’’ Joyce says.

The Bollands play foot-stomp­ing folk mu­sic, and have a rep­u­ta­tion for earthy en­er­getic live shows as well as melodic bal­lads. The duo

The Bollands will be shar­ing the night with US ac­tivist, singer and song­writer Cather­ine Feeny, who they came across in Port­land, Ore­gon.

‘‘When Cather­ine told us she wanted to tour New Zealand, we knew we had to do it with her. I think our mu­sic and hers is a per­fec­tmatch and it will make a mag­i­cal

night.’’
