Learning the instrument since she was a three year old, Hannah has toured Europe and Asia, performing for the royal family in Thailand, and was successful in a number of competitions.

Obtaining her Master’s degree in 2011 at the Xing Hai Conservatory of Music with a full scholarship, Hannah became a highly regarded violin teacher at the Guang Zhou Xing Hai Conservatory of Music, also running her own violin studio, and adjudicating violin competitions in Guang Dong and Hong Kong.

‘‘Last year, my family and I came to Palmerston North to attend my younger brother’s wedding. We were captivated by the beautiful landscapes of Palmerston North and its friendly people. In contrast to the bustling cosmopolitan city we previously lived in, Palmerston North is serene, peaceful and comparable to something out of a fairytale.’’

Violinist Hannah Fang is unleashed in concert this Sunday as part of the Globe Theatre Sunday Matinee series.
