UNSOLVED CRIME

The Tribune (NZ) - - COMMENT -

We are reading each day about the incredible number of unsolved burglaries all over New Zealand, every day of the week.

We are reminded of our poor neighbour who was beaten in a home invasion, not once but twice. She was 86, a brave, incredible woman who has had to sell her home.

The intruder has not be caught, no one has had to be accountable for this crime. The police have not come back and had a catch up with the neighbour’s and advised us about safety in our sommunity. Nothing, just a great big nothing.

What has communitysafety come to in New Zealand? Certainly nothing to be proud of. Heather and Jerry Tanguay
