New daffodil will be showcased
Harrisons Country Gardenworld will be at the 15th Manawatu Garden Festival, as they have been, every year since the Feilding event started.
They are renowned for their eye-catching displays and for embracing all things gardening.
Bringing something new and exclusive each year, is always anticipated. This year, Harrisons are introducing their new daffodil Sunny Sight.
‘‘These double flowered daffodils are really outstanding and we’re excited to have them exclusive to Harrisons in the Manawatu,’’ says owner Lance Bills. Sunny Sight is unique. ‘‘We have never seen a double yellow, white trumpet before. This is definitely one to add to your collection.’’
Every year manager Debbie Townsend has enjoyed welcoming visitors to Harrisons’ site at the festival.
‘‘It’s always a lot of fun, everyone’s so happy, we have such a good time. We want to give people what they want and they really appreciate our advice.’’
This year she is bringing some of their new range of de´cor and giftware, their latest Rose and Tree Catalogue for the 2016 planting season, and lots more for gardeners to delight in.
‘‘We’ll have some of our big trees that we grow ourselves, as well as a hedging range of different sizes, with the smaller plants from $9.99 through to $115 for large plants. Outdoor fireplaces, vegie beds to grow your own, compost bins and lovely citrus, including the Meyer lemon which is the most popular lemon variety for the home gardener.’’
Harrisons will also be featuring their new range of Ican products which includes fast food liquid fertiliser, real blood and bone, and organic vegetable food. ‘‘People are going back to the good old stuff. So we’re giving them what they want, just like grandad used to use. They’re exclusive to Harrisons, you won’t get them anywhere else in the Manawatu.’’
