The Tribune (NZ) - - OPINION -

On behalf of everyone at the Heart Foundation, thanks to all those in Palmerston North who generously gave up their time to volunteer during our annual appeal.

As a charity, we simply cannot continue our life-saving work without the support of volunteers throughout the country. This is especially true during our appeal, when we rely even more on ‘many hands making light work’.

Palmerston North raised a total of $5136.20. To everyone who collected donations in the streets, and to all those who raised funds in their workplaces, schools and early childhood education services, thank you. A huge thanks also to everyone who dug deep and made a donation. Your generosity means we can fund more vital research, support people with heart disease, promote heart-healthy lifestyles and advance cardiac care in this country.

Lastly, we are extremely grateful to the business owners who allowed us to collect donations outside their premises.

If you have not been able to make a donation yet, it’s not too late. Call us on 0800 830 100 or go to www.heartfoundation.org.nz/ donate
