Thank you for the write up you gave our High Tea in The Tribune on May 18. More than 100 people attended the event, and we raised $2,000 for the Refugee Reunification Fund and perhaps even more importantly, we believe we raised awareness of the work being done to help refugees to assist their family members to come to New Zealand.
Sonja de Lange, Humanitarian Services manager with the Red Cross, spoke vividly of the work being done to assist refugees, and was followed by Antoinette, who had been through the experience of the life of a refugee when she and her family came to New Zealand. Members of the Bhutanese and Burmese communities delighted the attendees with their dancing,
