Superstar kids entertainers The Wiggles will touch down for a show at the Regent on Broadway next week.

Tuesday, you’d better get your wiggle on! Superstar kids entertainers The Wiggles touch down in the Regent on Broadway for two shows as part of their 25th anniversary Wiggle Town Tour.

Among the most successful children’s entertainers in history, The Wiggles last year gave over 200 performances around the world to hundreds of thousands of fans. The troupe is celebrating its anniversary milestone with a seven centre New Zealand tour and accompanying CD and DVD release of Wiggle Town.

The fab four, Emma, Simon, Anthony and Lachy, will be cavorting alongside favourite characters Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus. They’ll also be sharing Wiggles classics such as Hot Potato, Rock a Bye Your Bear and Fruit Salad as well as their latest hits Do the Propeller, Emma’s Yellow Bow and Simon Says.

To put those numbers into some sort of perspective, there are more than 1400 Wiggles songs in the troupe’s repertoire.

Anthony Field, the Blue Wiggle, is the only original member of the group founded in 1991, who is still performing. In 2013, a new line-up with Emma Watkins as the Yellow Wiggle, Lachy Gillespie as the Purple Wiggle and Simon Pryce as the Red Wiggle have continued the troupe’s successful tradition. The combo has already produced eight CDs and DVDs and three television series. The Wiggles’ Wiggle Town Tour arrives on July 19, with shows at 10am and 12.30pm. Bookings through TicketDirect.
