Hair scanning helps toward optimum good health

The Tribune (NZ) - - YOUR BODY -

How’s your nutrition?

In just 15 minutes, you can make better nutritional, lifestyle and environmental choices with a hair follicle scan at Health 2000.

The factors of modern living can affect your body’s underlying wellness. These include foods eaten, nutrients absorbed, and environmental influences at home or work.

Hair is an amazing, almost indestructible bio-marker that carries a lot of this personal information. No matter the length of your hair, or if you’ve coloured it, hair follicles store six years’ worth of epigenetic information.

Epigenetics are the non-genetic influences on gene expression. This means the nutritional, lifestyle and environmental factors of modern living that affect your body’s underlying wellness. These include foods eaten, nutrients absorbed, and environmental influences at home or work.

Therefore, hair follicle scanning can provide you with considerations to help you achieve optimum wellness.

Hair scanning is completed by a naturopath or trained Health 2000 staff member who takes four follicles of your hair and then digitally processes them on a scanner. The data is then sent via a secure internet connection to servers in Hamburg, Germany. There, the powerful supercomputer systems create the charts and tables which make up the report and 90-day plan.

After 15 minutes the personalised ‘Optimise Wellness’ 90-day nutritional report is returned, and the staff member goes through its contents with you.

The report contains tables and charts to make the information understandable. It includes nine wellness categories covering more than 800 individual influences; a list of foods and additives to increase, add or avoid for 90 days; a 90-day plan, including nutrients, water and lifestyle factors; selfcheck sheets to help you keep track of progress; and supporting information on all categories.

Epigenetic indicators like vitamins, minerals, amino acids and frequency interference are mapped in the report and ranked by relevancy.

This makes it easy to identify your priorities and follow the nutritional suggestions.

Hair follicle analysis can reveal your personal wellness.
