FROM THE EDITOR

The Tribune (NZ) - - NEWS -

The arts community in Palmerston North is a really big part of our city, so it’s fantastic to see the Arts Recycling & Dezine Centre has reopened.

It would have been a shame to lose the resource, which is undoubtedly valuable for our local artists and those with a penchant for creating.

Not only has it been saved but it’s been freshened up and and transformed into a gallery space worthy of displaying all of our wonderful artists’ works.

Community volunteers have again proven their value.

Another well-supported artistic venture in our region is the Feilding Evento wearable arts show. While the event is not right here in our own community, it has expanded to allow our students to enter and there was a strong contingent of Palmerston North supporters at the show on Saturday night, which was wonderful to see.

Events like this light up our young peoples’ creativity and enthusiasm for bringing art to life.
