Small company, big reputation
Watson Real Estate might be a small, family owned Palmerston North company but it continues to make its presence felt nationally and internationally.
The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand held the 2016 REINZ Awards for Excellence last week and once again Watson Property Management staff were to the fore.
Sarah Jones was runner-up/finalist in the category of Residential Property Management Support Person of the Year, an award she won in 2015.
Deena Lincoln was runner-up/finalist in the category of Residential Property Management Rising Star of the Year, an award for staff who have been in property management less than 18 months.
Watson Real Estate Property Management Business Development Manager and company owner Greg Watson said he was incredibly proud of his staff members at the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Awards of Excellence. ‘‘They were the only two individual finalists from Palmerston North to become finalists. These virtually puts them in the top three in New Zealand.’’
REINZ, together with more than 400 members, celebrated the success of 38 of their members and colleagues at the Awards for Excellence.
‘‘With the real estate market having been so competitive over the past 12 months, especially in regions where supply is low, it was a tight race,’’ says REINZ Chairman Dame Rosanne Meo. ‘‘Tonight is our opportunity to reflect on the contribution that real estate industry makes to the New Zealand economy. Many of our members and their brands support a number of charities and community projects as well as run successful, professional businesses and this is testament to the dedication they have to the industry and to supporting this great country.’’
Greg has also been the recipient of a recent award. He was named the number one Business Development Manager for the Inspired Growth Training Network.
Deniz Yusuf, of IGTP, said IGTP is run in three countries and Greg has been recognised as the best. In congratulating Greg Deniz said he continued to push barriers as a Business Development Manager and he looked forward to their continued working relationship. IGTP is a training programme run by BDMCoach.com.au, which aims to bring the best out of every agent who is involved in the programme which in Australia, New Zealand and America that network together for optimum guidance and performance for clients. ‘‘Greg has been awarded as the 2016 Inspired Growth Business Development Manager of the year because of the fantastic results achieved.’’
