The Tribune (NZ) - - NEWS -

The plans for the front of All Saints Church in the city have caused an interesting reaction.

We could all argue for days about what the best look for the church is - whether that’s keeping the style classic and true to its heritage, or adding modern additions to create what parish leader Nigel Dixon described as ’’a little bit out there’’.

But what’s most interesting to me is seeing the amount of people in the community who are speaking up and expressing their opinion about how our city looks, and how they want it to look in the future.

The reaction on Neighbourly and Facebook has been huge with people pitching in from both sides of the argument. Even people on the street have been happy to have their say on the plans.

While some may be losing their faith in the church, I have gained faith that people in our community care about our city’s future.

And to me that seems more important.
