In ex­cit­ing news for gamers who are fans of Aus­tralia and Aus­tralian cars, game de­vel­oper Turn 10 Stu­dios has re­cently re­vealed that the lat­est in­car­na­tion of its open-world racing game, Forza Hori­zon 3, will not only be set in Aus­tralia but will also fea­ture a num­ber of iconic Aussie ve­hi­cles in its racing ros­ter.

Lo­ca­tions range from the sky­scrapers of Surfers Par­adise to the scenic By­ron Bay and the leg­endary Great Ocean Road.

The cars fea­tured in the game will be re­vealed over the weeks before the launch of the game on the Mi­crosoft Xbox One gam­ing sys­tem, but so far they in­clude the classic 1951 FX ute, the 1974 Sand­man panel van, the To­rana A9X and the mighty 2016 HSV GTS, as well as the Maloo ute ver­sion.

Forza Hori­zon 3 launches on Septem­ber 27.
