The Tribune (NZ) - - MID WEEK MOTORING -

Mitsubishi New Zealand has just launched the long-awaited sevenseat version of its popular Pajero Sport SUV.

Packing the same 135kW and 437Nm 2.4-litre diesel turbo engine, 3.1-tonne braked towing capacity and 4WD drivetrain as the five-seat Pajero Sport, the new model adds a foldaway seating row at the rear.

The third-row seating accommodates two passengers and features standard three-point seatbelts with ELR, plus airbags on either side – taking the total airbag count to nine throughout the vehicle.

The extra seating adds just 40kg to the vehicle’s kerb weight, without compromising fuel consumption of 8.0 litres per 100km – a rating shared by both the XLS and premium VRX models.

Pajero Sport seven-seat XLS and VRX models are available for a promotional price of $52,990 and $61,990 respectively until the end of September.
