FROM THE EDITOR

The Tribune (NZ) - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

The diversity in the group of council candidates introduced to us last week is so refreshing and empowering to see.

There’s 11 women standing, and good representation of ethnicity and youth.

With only five women making up just a third of our current city council, I am especially heartened to see almost half of the candidates are women.

Hopefully, each council candidate inspires every person in our community to vote for someone they feel can truly represent them in overseeing our city.

We have a lot more elections coverage planned and we hope to give you good information to assist you in making your voting choices.

But most of all, we’re interested in hearing what you think and what you believe the priorities are for our upcoming council to address.

Please send us your letters to tribune@msl.co.nz or join our discussions on Neighbourly.
