Women’s art ex­hi­bi­tion at Square Edge

The Women’s Art Ini­tia­tive’s (WAI) new ex­hi­bi­tion, Strong Words Women is on in the Square Edge Gallery for the rest of Novem­ber. WAI is a col­lec­tive of women who make art in re­sponse to their ex­pe­ri­ences of vi­o­lence. These moth­ers and daugh­ters, part­ners, sis­ters, cousins, aun­ties and grand­moth­ers - ev­ery­day peo­ple - com­mu­ni­cate us­ing cre­ativ­ity and colour in a per­sonal act of en­gage­ment in so­cial jus­tice. The ex­hi­bi­tion is sup­ported by Zonta and the cam­paign against Vi­o­lence Against Women.
