The Tribune (NZ) - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

Delinquent youths causing trouble in city streets is never a new problem.

The young troublesome teens will always find new places to hang out and new people to terrorise throughout any city, and it’s unfortunate that the latest issues have arisen in George St.

George St, with its charming cafes and boutique shops, is a lively and quaint area of the city and while no particular street deserves trouble, it seems to mar the landscape a little more in this sweet street.

As we rapidly approach Christmas, I hope the police are serious in their resolve to patrol the streets more frequently.

It will ensure the festive season feels safe, as it should, for both shoppers and retailers, despite the chaotic nature of Christmas shopping in what is a very busy and stressful time.
