The Tribune (NZ) - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE - - Lisa Houston

Well, that’s it for The Tribune for 2016 and what a year it has been for the Palmerston North community.

We’ve gone through local government elections, welcoming back our mayor Grant Smith and some new city councillors, we’ve seen big plans for a city makeover and we’ve seen a boost in our business community.

There’s been uproar over plans to change the front of the All Saints Church and neighbours coming together to support each other through multiple burglaries and lonely times.

We’ve hung out with dinosaurs and painted rocks, and overall it’s been an exciting year.

These are just some of the highlights.

I hope you all have a very merry and joyful Christmas and a bright and happy New Year. The

Tribune will be back in your letterbox for 2017 on January 11. Just a reminder the Manawatu

Standard office will be closed from Friday, December 23 at 1pm and will reopen on January 4.
