The Tribune (NZ) - - NEWS -

The weather in Palmerston North and around the country this week has been quite a shock to the system.

Heavy rain has come with a heavy dose of chill and it seems everyone has pulled their coats out of retirement again for another year.

The end of daylight savings has certainly reinforced the few short weeks of summery weather was all we were going to get.

Thankfully the weather stayed pleasant enough for all the big events we’ve had in the first few months of the year.

But here’s hoping this weather doesn’t turn into the flooding our region is susceptible to.

It would be devastating to see another scenario like the disastrous flooding of 2015.

Make sure you keep warm, drive safe and keep an eye on your neighbours.
