CYCLEWAYS SUITABLE

The Tribune (NZ) - - CONVERSATIONS -

I am disappointed with Matthew McKenzie.

I feel that the council has made a good job of the walk and cycleways around Palmerston North and the wider area.

They make life safe, convenient and things generally more accessible for everyone who walks, bikes, scooters, runs, etc. What is this guy’s problem? The council planners have made it wide enough to swish around on your bike if you are descending the track. You would stay wide to allow yourself to do this and slow down enough also - isn’t this biking 101.

The camber looks suitable for those ascending up the hill. Are we all going soft and namby pamby!!

I suggest that Matthew needs more cycling experience.

As an OLD chick I thought the track looked like a bit of fun and well constructed. I guess things have changed!!!!
