Writer for arts pro­gramme

Massey Univer­sity’s artist in res­i­dence, writer Owen Mar­shall is to open the new se­mes­ter Arts on Wed­nes­day pro­gramme. Mar­shall had pub­lished or edited al­most 30 books, in­clud­ing nov­els, short sto­ries and po­etry, and was­made an ONZM for Ser­vices to Literature in the New Year Hon­ours and the CNZM in the Queen’s Birth­day Hon­ours of 2012. In 2013 he re­ceived the Prime Min­is­ter’s Award for Fic­tion. He will be be the fo­cus of at­ten­tion at the first Arts on Wed­nes­day ses­sion on July 19 from 12.30pm to 1.30pm in the univer­sity’s Sir Ge­of­frey Peren Au­di­to­rium. Ad­mis­sion will be free.
