FROM THE EDITOR
What a week of wild weather we’ve had in Manawatu.
There’s been snow, copious amounts of rain, some flooding and the freezing cold to contend with.
While most of us in the city have avoided the worst of it, I really feel for those in the outer regions of Manawatu who have been dealing with heavy dumps of snow and power outages.
Winter, as every year, is a solid reminder to look out for our neighbours, especially when faced with tough times like this.
How brilliant is the project at the Memorial Park playground (Page 5) to install play equipment suitable for children with disabilities?
The new play equipment has been deliberately installed alongside the other play gear so the area is inclusive for children of all abilities.
This is a positive move for our community.
