Mysteries of the dance

The TV Guide - - MR TELLY -

Is it only me who is becoming mildly annoyed by the silly dance routines which punctuate every break in Shortland Street? (I haven’t noticed if they are used at any other time.) I was slightly puzzled by their seeming irrelevance to this programme when they first appeared, so I tried to figure out whether they held a subliminal message or hidden meaning. I gave up and decided that an explanation would surely follow soon. They do not match the storyline or anything about the programme. Alas they continue, as irrelevant and meaningless as when they began. Can anyone please enlighten me? Harvey Rosieur (Howick)
