Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King

Starring Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen. This satisfying conclusion to what was truly an epic cinematic undertaking still manages to stand alone as a superb movie event in its own right. Nominated for – and winner of – 11 Oscars, it scores big on direction, costume design and of course technical wizardry, with Jackson utilising a mammoth 1488 computergenerated effects – more than double the number used in the first film. ★★★★★ Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Sky Premiere, 8.30pm Starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter. The zombie apocalypse saga spawned from the classic video game reaches a bloody conclusion here. It’s OK but thankfully the final chapter as the thin plot line was fully stretched a couple of instalments back. ★★★
