Catch-22: Ge­orge Clooney (left) stars in his first drama se­ries since ER in this six-part adap­tion of Joseph Heller’s clas­sic novel about a World War II bomber who be­comes frus­trated with the army. Clooney, who also serves as ex­ec­u­tive pro­ducer and di­rec­tor, was orig­i­nally go­ing to play Colonel Cath­cart, the com­mand­ing of­fi­cer and one of the lead­ing fig­ures in Catch 22. How­ever, Clooney found jug­gling all the roles too de­mand­ing so de­cided to take on the lesser part of train­ing com­man­der Lieu­tenant Scheis­skopf. Kyle Chan­dler (Fri­day Night Lights) will now fill the Cath­cart role. The im­pres­sive cast also fea­tures Hugh Lau­rie (House), who plays Ma­jor de Cover­ley, and Christo­pher Ab­bott in the cen­tral role of Cap­tain John Yos­sar­ian.
