GEORGE CLOONEY BACK ON SCREEN
Catch-22: George Clooney (left) stars in his first drama series since ER in this six-part adaption of Joseph Heller’s classic novel about a World War II bomber who becomes frustrated with the army. Clooney, who also serves as executive producer and director, was originally going to play Colonel Cathcart, the commanding officer and one of the leading figures in Catch 22. However, Clooney found juggling all the roles too demanding so decided to take on the lesser part of training commander Lieutenant Scheisskopf. Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) will now fill the Cathcart role. The impressive cast also features Hugh Laurie (House), who plays Major de Coverley, and Christopher Abbott in the central role of Captain John Yossarian. Most of the filming has taken place in Italy.
