Michael Mosley Vs The Superbugs
BBC Earth, 8.30pm
In a project that melds art with weird science, Michael Mosley (above) uses a life-sized agar sculpture of himself to demonstrate the effects of superbugs. Mosley’s jelly doppelganger, closely resembling a creepy horror movie prop, gives viewers an eye-opening view of what happens when the superbugs take over our bodies. While the word ‘superbug’ suggests a weevil in a cape and tights, it’s actually an antibiotic-resistant bacterial infection.
