WHY DO YOU LOVE TO TRAVEL?

It’s an opportunity to meet different people – and as a result we have friends living all around the world. We’re heading to Europe with our old friends Dawn and Wally Westrupp, who we first travelled with in 1982 on a cruise around the Pacific. In April this year, Dawn and Wally told us they were heading to Europe and showed us some photos of the European Christmas markets – we were sold! Within 24 hours we’d booked to go with them. Austria, Germany and Bavaria. One market is in Mozart’s hometown of Salzburg and dates back to 1491 – it will be like being in a fairytale. They sell homemade trinkets, decorations, and food – what I’m really looking forward to is buying a special Christmas souvenir. and it’s surrounded by snowy mountain peaks, some rising 1500m above water level. It will make a nice change from the ham, salad and potatoes we usually eat on a hot summer’s day at home!

Jude and Warren Morton are heading to Europe to experience the magic of the Christmas Markets.
