As part of­men­tal Health Aware­ness Week, a group of com­mer­cial mu­sic stu­dents from Massey Univer­sity have put to­gether ’Sanc­tu­ary’ – a per­for­mance fea­tur­ing orig­i­nal mu­sic and light pro­jec­tions, to en­cour­age dis­cus­sion, open­mind­ed­ness and aware­ness around men­tal health. The evening, at Vo­gel­morn Hall on Oc­to­ber 13, prom­ises to be a re­lax­ing evening of sonic and vis­ual stim­u­la­tion. All pro­ceeds will go to­ward the NZ Mu­sic Foun­da­tion, which pro­vides emer­gency as­sis­tance to peo­ple in the in­dus­try go­ing through ill­ness, dis­tress and hard­ship.
