First upmarket shopping tour
For visitors who are shopaholics, Aucklander Fione Jordan has a treat in store. Ms Jordan has launched Tour to Shop – the country’s first upmarket personalised shopping experience for tourists and visitors who like to shop ‘til they drop – but without being part of a bus tour.
“I’ve been lucky enough to shop in some of the great cities of the world including Auckland,” she says. “And my fondest memories are of shopping with like-minded shopaholics enjoying a day out in gorgeous shops, lunching in glorious cafes and having lots of laughs and a fabulous time! So I thought why not share that experience back here?”
Ms Jordan, like most women loves to indulge in some shopping when she’s in a new city. But knowing exactly where to go and how to get there can be daunting.
In Auckland Tour to Shop goes places many visitors rarely see or know about, catering for one to three women at a time – visiting some of the best shopping the city has to offer.
“We are not a tour going to crowded malls or mass sales,” she emphasises. “I collect and transport guests in a luxury air conditioned Jaguar and escort them to exclusive boutiques or outlet stores selling designer clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, home wares and artisan souvenirs – or other items in which they’ve expressed interest.”
There is a range of experiences starting from $269.00 per person including a light lunch. There’s also a Waiheke Island shopping excursion that includes a winery lunch.
“My goal is to make a visitor’s day a truly fun shopping experience which they’ll always remember,” she says.
