New lineup for Skal
Skal New Zealand appointed their new national executive for 2016 at the recent annual general meeting in Queenstown. The new president of Skal New Zealand is Leighton Cameron, from Christchurch, taking over from Tony Smith. Holding the position of treasurer is Charlie Ives (Wellington) and Secretary Geoff Beaver (Christchurch). The two vice-presidents are Trish May (Queenstown) and Andrew Martin (Rotorua). The conference was opened by Queens-town mayor Vanessa van Uden. Other highlights included a welcome by a Maori concert group, personal winery tour at Gibbston Valley winery by their head winemaker and a tour of Arrowtown. A number of senior Skalleagues from around the globe attended. Aucklander Nigel Pilkington, who is Skal international president, joined the conference along with vice president David Fisher from Keny.
