The Department of Internal Affairs gives amaximum of $80,000 per year for three years for community development projects in ‘‘priority territories’’. The priority territories change from year to year. Applicants have to show they will be competent in managing the project and the scheme has community support. For a project to receive all three years of funding, it must be up to standard as measured by regular reports.
