One of my favourite parts of being involved in community news in the region is telling stories that have a direct impact on people’s lives, the issues that affect us all or celebrating community heroes.
Recycling and rubbish have been headlining the news and in this week’s issue Nicholas Boyack heads off to a Hutt landfill, which he declares to be a top tip. (P9).
We share intimate details of a photoshoot in Upper Hutt, held to promote body positivity (P10) and we continue our series on what to do and how to be prepared in an emergency. (P36)
We are also heading for the final countdown for the Round the Bays event on February 19.
This year I decided to get off the couch and have a go and I’ve been out pounding the streets in preparation as I know thousands of others have. As the big day nears, Rachel Grunwell shares tips on how to keep those nerves under control. (P47)
