Charges of sexual assault have been laid against Arahi Wooldridge (47) from Ostend. Police arrested Wooldridge, who is also known as Terry, on August 2 and his bail conditions include not returning towaiheke. In the early hours of Saturday, September 9, police witnessed a vehicle crash into a culvert onwhakarite Rd. The 18-year-old local driver was arrested for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and drink driving. In the early hours of Monday, September 11, police stopped the same car twice within 70 minutes. A 30-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, both fromwaiheke, were charged with drink driving. Sergeant Felton asked drivers to slow down on wet roads, particularly as slips have reduced some roads to one lane in places. Police are still searching for the man who robbed the Z service station in Onetangi after threatening the attendant with a machete on August 21.
