LEAOD cush­ion con­cert: The se­nior show-team at Louise Emma Academy of Dance (LEAOD) is putting on a cush­ion con­cert to raise money to get seven dancers to the Na­tional Young Per­former Awards in Palmer­ston North next month. The con­cert will be at Te Hu­ruhi Pri­mary School hall at 3pm. BYO cush­ion, tick­ets at the door for a $5min­i­mum do­na­tion. Wai­heke Health Trust Fundraiser: Dress in cock­tail wear for a night of glam­our at Stonyridge Vine­yard to raise money for the health trust and­wai­heke Ro­tary. The event is from 7pm un­til mid­night and fea­tures auc­tions, The Mojo Ris­ers and DJ Gareth Ross. On the Beach: A 1959 film di­rected by Stan­ley Kramer, star­ring Ava Gard­ner and Gre­gory Peck, will be screened at Tivoli in Oneroa from 6pm. A short doc­u­men­tary will be shown be­fore the film.
