The Red Shed gallery at Palm Beach was packed on October 7 for the launch of Colin Beardon’s exhibition of paintings with awaiheke theme. They proved popular with locals and visitors.
Tiny house auction: Volunteers have built a tiny house in the car park atwaiheke Living that will be auctioned along with artworks today from 10am. The auction will raise money forwaiheke Community Housing Trust to provide affordable rental housing for long termisland residents. Blackpool stormwater meeting: Auckland Council’s Healthywaters is holding a community meeting to discuss the draft stormwater catchment plan for Blackpool on Wednesday, October 18, from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Old Blackpool School Hall.
