Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter had a busy week, flying four missions towaiheke on November 8 and three on November 9. The rush on November 8 started at 1.27am, when the helicopter flew a girl with a fever with her mum from Waiheke to Starship Hospital. Three other patients with medical complaints were flown from Waiheke to Auckland City Hospital that day, two in a serious condition. On November 9, a man with seizures and a man with a possible neck injury were flown fromwaiheke to the city hospital in a serious condition. A sevenyear-old girl fell about two metres from a tree onto hard clay and was flown to Starship Hospital in a moderate condition. The rescue helicopter flew 10 missions to Waiheke in the week ending on November 12. Waiheke St John Ambulance attended 13 medical emergencies and nine accidents during the week.
