Art exhibition at beach
A one-day only art exhibition is on Labour Weekend.
Five local artists will display their art at the Waihi Beach Village church hall on Saturday, October 20.
The collective’s members, named Unlimited Palette, say they are always seeking new ways of pushing art boundaries.
The exhibition showcases diversity in their style of painting, with water colours by Pam Lines, both scenic and abstract, while Sally Thrush produces colourful abstract prints. People are the main theme of the works by Trish Coates, and Robyn Betterton makes humorous outdoor art s.
Berys Daly produces thought-provoking unusual and textured mixed media.
This is a one day only exhibition open from 9am till 4pm and there is no entry fee.
The artists are happy to talk about their work. They also have available small original works in cards, bookmarks, books etc.
The work for sale is all made by locals and is original.
