Art ex­hi­bi­tion at beach

A one-day only art ex­hi­bi­tion is on Labour Week­end.

Five lo­cal artists will dis­play their art at the Waihi Beach Vil­lage church hall on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20.

The col­lec­tive’s mem­bers, named Un­lim­ited Pal­ette, say they are al­ways seek­ing new ways of push­ing art bound­aries.

The ex­hi­bi­tion show­cases di­ver­sity in their style of paint­ing, with wa­ter colours by Pam Lines, both scenic and ab­stract, while Sally Thrush pro­duces colour­ful ab­stract prints. Peo­ple are the main theme of the works by Tr­ish Coates, and Robyn Bet­ter­ton makes hu­mor­ous out­door art s.

Berys Daly pro­duces thought-pro­vok­ing un­usual and tex­tured mixed me­dia.

This is a one day only ex­hi­bi­tion open from 9am till 4pm and there is no en­try fee.

The artists are happy to talk about their work. They also have avail­able small orig­i­nal works in cards, book­marks, books etc.

The work for sale is all made by lo­cals and is orig­i­nal.
