Kids get creative

School hol­i­days are the ideal time to get young chil­dren to be creative.

The Men­tal Health Foun­da­tion is run­ning an an­nual colour­ing com­pe­ti­tion and fo­cus­ing on the Five Ways to Well­be­ing in na­ture, ask­ing young Ki­wis to let na­ture in to strengthen their well­be­ing — Ma¯ te ta­iao, kia whaka­parkari to¯u oranga! Con­nect­ing with na­ture can up­lift your wairua/ spirit and boost well­be­ing so the foun­da­tion is en­cour­ag­ing all kids to get out­doors to con­nect with the joy of be­ing in na­ture with this ac­tiv­ity.

The com­pe­ti­tion is open to chil­dren aged be­tween four and 12 — but any­one can still take part. It will close on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26 at 5pm.
