Kids get creative
School holidays are the ideal time to get young children to be creative.
The Mental Health Foundation is running an annual colouring competition and focusing on the Five Ways to Wellbeing in nature, asking young Kiwis to let nature in to strengthen their wellbeing — Ma¯ te taiao, kia whakaparkari to¯u oranga! Connecting with nature can uplift your wairua/ spirit and boost wellbeing so the foundation is encouraging all kids to get outdoors to connect with the joy of being in nature with this activity.
The competition is open to children aged between four and 12 — but anyone can still take part. It will close on Friday, October 26 at 5pm.
