2018 APATA TRIPLE PAIRS TOUR­NA­MENT

There was a near-ca­pac­ity field for the Apata Triple Pairs tour­na­ment played on Oc­to­ber 6/7, which was spon­sored by Apata Group Limited, Pri­mor Pro­duce Limited, Ex­pol (Terry Mis­chef­ski), JC Golf Tau­ranga (Jim Cus­din), PGG Wright­son Real Es­tate (Mike and Wendy Matuti­novich, and Niria Ger­bich).

The Club ap­pre­ci­ates their con­tin­ued sup­port. The or­gan­is­ing com­mit­tee put a great deal of work into en­sur­ing the tour­na­ment would be a suc­cess, and the greens staff, with the ex­tra bonus of good weather were able to present the course in ab­so­lutely top con­di­tion.

Ev­ery­one in­volved is to be con­grat­u­lated for a job well done.

The nett com­pe­ti­tion played over 54 holes con­sisted of 18 holes Cana­dian Four­somes fol­lowed by 18 holes Scot­tish Four­somes on the first day, and 18 holes Four­ball best ball on the sec­ond day, in Mixed and Men’s pairs di­vi­sions. To­tal nett scores over two days — Win­ners: Rex Knight and Mur­ray Fraser 193 .

The Ex­pol Hole-in-One was not achieved, but in­stead a gen­er­ous Ex­pol-spon­sored prize was awarded to Paul Wil­liams for his best in­di­vid­ual nett of 64 over the field in the Four­ball Best Ball on Day 2.
