What do the USS Enterprise and St Jerome’s Laneway Festival have in common? They both chose to boldly go where neither had gone before.

In Laneway’s case their new frontier is the change to the dream location that is the Albert Park Precinct (pictured) and we have a double pass up for grabs so you share in the fun first hand!

Laneway has always been about the total experience. Festival co-promoter Mark Kneebone says he is ecstatic that Laneway will be held at the location organisers had their eye on when first bringing the festival to Auckland in 2010.

“Laneway Festival is as much about the environment as it is about the music and this new site allows us to deliver everything we know our guests need for a great festival experience— much more space, four individual stages in the park, and on the surrounding streets, a bigger range of bespoke food and bar options, and of course the abundant grass and shade that Albert Park offers.

“The new site is 70 per cent bigger, but for comfort’s sake we are keeping the crowd capacity the same. Music fans can come and hear some of the most exciting music acts on the planet”

Acts such as Aurora, Cut Off Your Hands, Glass Animals, touted breakout star of the year NAO, Tame Impala, The Chills, The Veils and Grammy award winner Tourist are on the bill.

It’s a risk-taking line-up that goes deep and wide— with a bold selection of contemporary icons and emerging gamechangers.

Will you be witnessing the next Lorde or Florence+ The Machine? Experience the next stunning chapter in the ever evolving phenomenon that is Laneway.
