Early Childhood course opens doors

Waikato News - - Education 2017 -

The Vision College Early Childhood courses are opening doors for many students who may not have qualified for university straight off.

Entering the courses with either NCEA Level 1 or 2, graduates have now gone on to full degrees and are working at Early Childhood centres or other positions of trust with children. Some have made use of the links Vision College has with OE opportunities and are now working at Club Med as childcare co-ordinators, or as qualified nannies and au pairs in the USA or China.

The Level 3 programme is free for 16 to 19 year olds and starts in July, ending in December.

The Level 5 is a one-year programme, also starting in July and requires students to have NCEA Level 2 to enter. Both courses lead to higher study or employment in Early Childcare centres.
