Changes in Hamilton

Waikato Times Weekend - - WAIKATO WEEKEND - Catharine Clements Hamilton

In the 25 years I have been away from Hamilton, the best changes I see now are:

Trees which, to my mind, have become the crowning glory of the Waikato. They appear to be beautifully tended and make a wonderful heritage

Transport which is a joy to use. Rides seem coordinated and charges reasonable. Best of all, drivers are approachable and helpful

Tracks for biking and walking that are numerous, planted and wind through great scenic areas

Toilets that are clean and well signposted and blessedly available, making the trees, transport and tracks so much more accessible

All this bespeaks planning for public access and I commend Hamilton’s administrators for this city’s live-ability.
