Who’s fooling who?

Waikato Times - - Opinion -

I had to smile when reading David Colquhoun and Tony Molloy letters defending the use of the word Nazi by Mr Fong in his latest anti-euthanasia ramble.

Its use was totally intended of course. If he had told us that Germany once had a policy allowing the wholesale murder of all misfits under the very convenient guise of euthanasia it would not have had the impact on us that the highly sensitive and emotive word Nazi has.

There was no ‘voluntary’ or ’choice’ in that example Mr Fong. Maybe us proeuthanasia proponents will next be hit with the terrifying news that the Aztecs called their practice of sacrificial virgins ‘euthanasia’. Gosh.
